Biography: José María Pereda

He borned on 6th february 1833, in Polanco, and he died on 1st March of 1906.

He was a Spanish writer. He lived in Polanco a few years, but when he was eleven years old he went to high school of Santander. On 1852 he went to Madrid because he want study on the Academy of Artillery in Segovia.

Lately, on 1854, he was near to end death, because of a shoot.

He publish his first novel on 1864. It was called "Escenas Montañesas".

Then a few years later (1871) he stand to parliament and he was choosed.

After twenty-one years his old son commit suicide. In this years he felt very upset, and on 1897 he gave a speech of "Real Academia Española de Lengua".

He was one of the best writers.
